A CRASH on the A31 led to tailbacks of traffic stretching for almost four miles.
On the westbound side of the carriageway, approaching Ringwood, one lane was closed after the collision, with police on scene dealing with the incident.
Traffic service ROMANSE reported on the length of queues. Drivers were being warned to add extra time to any journeys.
The lane was re-opened by 4.30pm, and traffic is now easing.
