FIREFIGHTERS tackled a heath fire at Three Legged Cross this afternoon.
Crews from Verwood, Ferndown, Wimborne, and Redhill, including three fire engines and three Land Rover pumps, were called to the incident off Lower Common Lane at 1.35pm.
An area of heathland measuring 50m x 50m was on fire, according to the service.
The crews used six hose reel jets to put out the blaze.
