THE mum of a schoolboy undergoing treatment for leukaemia will see her first book published this week.
My Grit Journal aims to inspire young people to be positive and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
Written by former teacher Kerry Brown, the book came about as she and her family learned to cope with her 12-year-old son's illness.
Twynham schoolboy Felix Brown is 10 months away from finishing a gruelling three years and three months treatment programme for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
Kerry, who lives in Moordown, said: "Felix is amazing. He goes to school full-time and he is doing great.
"His illness has taught us to be positive though challenges and I hope the book will encourage others to be more self-motivated."
The book, aimed at young people between the ages of 11 and 16, costs £8.99.
