A TOWN centre hairdressing salon is to be converted into a single corner flat.
Guineas at 12 Stafford Road, Bournemouth, will close in its current location under the plans acknowledged as permitted development by council planning officers.
A borough report states: "The premises subject to this application do not have any specific retail frontage designation as they are situated off the main commercial area of Old Christchurch Road.
"There are other commercial uses in Stafford Road, but many are vacant.
"The application property has been in use as a hairdressing salon for many years.
"The unit here is quite small and is away from the core retail area. There are other premises in the area offering the same services."
