THE woman who was airlifted to hospital fighting for life after a collision involving a tractor is no longer believed to be in a life-threatening condition.
Emergency services were called to rural Furzebrook Road, Wareham, after the collision between a car and the tractor on Saturday (May 26) morning.
The woman, who lives in Warwickshire, was reportedly pinned into the wreckage of her Seat car by a bale spike fitted to the front of the tractor.
Fire crews based at Pool and Wareham were called to the scene to cut her free.
Yesterday, Dorset Police said: "We can now confirm the injured woman is still in hospital but her condition is no longer believed to be life-threatening."
The tractor driver, a 33-year-old local man, was badly shaken but otherwise unhurt.
