POLICE are warning residents to remain vigilant after reports of a suspicious vehicle in East Dorset.
The rural crime team have released details relating to a white Peugeot Partner van with the registration MM** MLY.
Two males, described as in their forties, one slim, one large build, were seen in the vehicle, which had been spotted in suspicious circumstances driving onto farms.
The vehicle was last seen at midday on Wednesday in the East Dorset area.
Officers believe the vehicle has been involved in rural theft and enquiring about scrap metal and batteries.
If this vehicle or other vehicles are seen acting suspiciously, residents are asked gather as much information as possible such as the registration number and descriptions of the driver and any passengers. If the vehicle or occupants are seen committing a crime, the public should contact Dorset Police on 999 immediately.
