A PLAN to build a new bungalow in Redhill Park has drawn 23 objections.

The scheme would see the construction of a "back-land bungalow" by subdividing the plot of 23 Western Avenue, Bournemouth, using the existing access, according to a report by planning officer Steve Davies.

"A previous application for the erection of two bungalows was refused in 2016 and the subsequent appeal was dismissed," the report states.

"The inspector had concerns which related to impact on residential amenity.

"However, in terms of impact on the character of the area there is no significant issue in my view.

"The proposed bungalow is low rise unlike the previous scheme and will not be an intrusion into the locality to an extent that would have an adverse impact on the character of the area."

Due to the number of objections, the scheme is set to be discussed by councillors at the planning board on Monday, May 21.
