A MASTER napkin folder from Bournemouth has created a new design in celebration of the forthcoming Royal Wedding.

Luigi Spotorno has named his new creation, American Royal Bride, in honour of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding on May 19.

The table stylist sent a letter to Clarence House, so the new napkin could be shown to the happy couple.

Luigi said: “The wedding of Prince Harry and Ms. Markle presented a challenge to create something special for this important occasion.

“Each napkin I design has a story to tell.

“The Royal Wedding, in particular, is nothing less than a romantic fairy tale in which an American girl found her Prince and then became his bride.”

The former hospitality manager, who was born in Italy but has lived in the UK for more than half a century, is an expert in the art of napkin folding and has even written a book on the subject.

Luigi has devised hundreds of new folds during his career including a Royal Orchid design for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding in 2011 and the Diamond Jubilee Crown to mark the Queen’s 60-year reign in 2012.
