ATTEMPTS have been made to relieve travel disruption over the bank holiday weekend by removing roadworks.
Bournemouth Borough Council has taken the measure after recent traffic issues throughout the town.
From Thursday afternoon, all works at Bath Road, where SGN have been working will be removed until Tuesday.
The utility company aim to complete the works before the next bank holiday.
Bournemouth Borough Council's own works on Bourne Avenue, Avenue Road and Braidley Road will be removed for the bank holiday and starting again on Tuesday.
The move comes after the authority was labelled as "dullards" by a member of the public on social media for the impact roadworks were having in the town.
