UP TO 500 runners will lace up their trainers when a popular running event returns to Boscombe later this month.
The 18th annual Rotary Easter Quarter Marathon takes place on Saturday, March 31.
The race starts at 11am outside the Urban Reef Restaurant near Boscombe Pier.
East Cliff Rotary Club, through its organisation of the race, has been able to donate more than £500,000 to local and national charities.
This year’s event will raise money for Bournemouth Blind Society, Crohn’s & Colitis UK and Vasculitis UK.
The race is a league race as well as being open to individuals and teams.
Members of the Littledown Harriers, Poole Runners, OS Runners, Dorset Doddlers and Bournemouth Joggers are among those already registered to compete in the race.
A spokesperson said: “It is not too late to get your team entered for what is shaping up to be a bumper number of entries.”
