SUPER men, women and children are being encouraged to sign up for next month’s Bournemouth Bay Run.

More than 4,500 runners are set to take part in the event which takes place on Sunday, April 8.

This year’s event has a superhero theme and runners are being encouraged to dress up as their favourite superhero or even create their own.

Runners have until 4pm on Friday, March 23, to sign up for the half marathon or 10k races.

People will be able to sign up on the day for the 5K event or the 1k family fun run.

Tom Powell, race director, said: “Spring is nearly here so it’s out with the old and in with the new, what could be better than a new fitness challenge. With a variety of races, the Health-on-Line Bournemouth Bay Run is the ideal challenge.”

Fiona Carter, brand and marketing manager at Health-on-Line, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Bournemouth Bay Run in 2018, and our very own superhero, Super Health-on-Line Man will be there on the day. He’ll be helping to raise additional funds and awareness of the British Heart Foundation as well as complementing our mission to create a healthier Bournemouth community in 2018.”
