AN APPEAL has been launched after a female donkey was hit and killed by a vehicle on the morning of Friday, February 2 in the New Forest.
A reward of up to £5,000 is being offered by the Verderers for information leading to the successful conviction of the driver who was responsible for the death of the grey jenny at 7.50am.
The incident took place at Longcross between Cadnam and Fordingbridge.
It is claimed the vehicle, which had 'highway maintenance' written on it, failed to stop and no one has reported the accident.
