TWO people have been taken to hospital following a crash in Poole this morning.
Police were called by the ambulance service at 9.07am to reports of two-vehicle crash in Tollerford Road, Canford Heath.
Police received reports an elderly woman was trapped and another person was injured.
The crash involves a silver Renault Clio, registered to a woman from Poole, and a silver Audi registered to a man from Poole.
A man and a woman have both been taken to hospital.
The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service said they were called at 9.11am.
Two appliances from Poole are in attendance.
The road remained closed for several hours following the crash.
The local authority also attended due to fuel on the road.
