POLICE are investigating a number of crimes reported in the Ferndown area over the past few weeks.
On December 27, officers received reports that the glass door of Ferndown's library had been smashed by vandals.
The building had been closed for the Christmas break and it is not known when the damage was done.
On January 2, two outbuildings in Stapehill were broken into. A bicycle was stolen.
Tools and a boiler were stolen from a building site in Golf Links Road sometime between 5pm on January 4 and 7am on January 5.
A wooden-sided trailer with no number plate or identifying mark was stolen from a garden in Dudsbury Avenue on either January 6 or January 7.
The trailer was loaded with scrap metal.
On January 9, a street light on the Heatherlands Estate was damaged. Police believe a catapult may have been used.
Officers also warned scams and frauds are being reported on a weekly basis.
