A MAN is due to appear in court following an alleged hit and run in Boscombe during the summer.
The man, a 53-year-old from Portsmouth, will attend Weymouth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, December 19 after he was issued with a postal requisition for driving without due care and attention, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, failing to report a collision and driving without insurance.
Police were called to Coffee and Dice in Christchurch Road at 10.30pm on Friday, July 7 after a collision involving a red Nissan X-Trail and a 20-year-old Bournemouth woman.
The woman suffered serious injuries an was taken to hospital for treatment.
It is alleged the red Nissan X-Trail reportedly failed to stop at the scene.
