POLICE who released a CCTV image of a man in relation to a suspicious incident have now withdrawn their appeal for information.
Officers said they are satisfied that there is no need for police action after a man came forward to help with their inquiries.
Dorset Police had received information that a man had been seen acting suspiciously by Bournemouth railway station, the travel interchange and a bridge under the Wessex Way on November 9.
They had been told he had been seen taking photographs and measurements.
Officers appealed for information earlier today but around two hours later a police spokesman withdrew the appeal.
He said: "A man has come forward following an appeal in relation to a reported suspicious incident in Bournemouth.
"Following a CCTV appeal, a man has now come forward to assist with enquiries and officers are satisfied there is no requirement for any further police action. We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal."
