FANS queued overnight at the BIC to make sure they got tickets for Sir Cliff Richard's 2018 tour.

Online tickets sold out within five minutes for the tour event, which is marking Sir Cliff Richard's 60th anniversary in music.

Tickets for the performance in Bournemouth went on sale at 10am on Saturday with the singing star coming to the town on October 17 next year.

While there was a rush online, devoted fans braved the frosty conditions to secure their seats.

More than 50 people were in the queue outside the BIC this morning before the tickets went on sale, including one woman who arrived at the BIC yesterday afternoon.

Tickets for the Windsor Hall performance ranged from £76.50 to £86.50.

Sonia Swierzbinski started queuing at 3am and said it is just what people are willing to do to see Cliff Richard.

"People say we are all a bit mad, but it is a complete load of rubbish," she said.

"We're quite normal people. We just appreciate a very good looking chap with a beautiful physique, who can sing as well. He's got the whole package."

Hazel O'Donoghue, who had been queuing from around 6am, added: "I first saw Cliff when I was 16 at the Gaumount and I just had to get a ticket for the show next year."
