BOURNEMOUTH-based homeless charity, AOK Rucksack Appeal, are holding a sponsored dog walk along the beach this Saturday (15.10).
The Dog Walk, called ‘Homelessness – It’s a Dogs Life’, will take place on Bournemouth seafront between 10am and 2pm, and people can start their walk at anytime between 10am and 12:30pm.
The walk in is aid of World Homeless Day and World Mental Health Day, both of which are on Tuesday October 10.
Money raised will go to the AOK Rucksack Appeal charity to help their clients get back into the community.
Donations will also go to The Dogs Trust and the PDSA, who both look after the welfare of dogs on the street.
There will be a 1-mile walk, starting at Boscombe Pier and a 2-mile walk, starting at Bournemouth Pier.
Medals will be given to each dog, with a prize for the dog which raises the most sponsorship money and a prize for the best fancy dress owner and dog.
