TWO budding karting champions need sponsorship to race at a national level.
Brothers Ethan Leader, 12, and Edward Leader, 11, from Verwood began racing in 2014 and 2015 respectively, and have since found success at club championship level.
Since 2014, Ethan has impressively won every club championship final at the Mansell Raceway in Devon. Ethan’s success has been similarly matched by Edward, who is currently winning the Forest Edge club championship.
But with karting comes expenses, and in order for the boys to progress they are wanting financial aid from local businesses who are willing to sponsor.
Paul Leader, the boys’ Father, told the Echo: “As a family, we simply cannot afford for our boys to move up a class, national championships can cost up to £40,000.
“Unfortunately, the sport definitely favours those who have more income to spend on expensive karts.
“The lads’ potential is being limited, so we are calling on local companies to help.”
