A MAN has appeared in court after an alleged hit and run in Boscombe.
Police were called to reports of a collision in Ashley Road opposite the bus depot at the Sovereign Centre on the afternoon of Thursday, January 12 this year.
It was alleged that a woman had been struck by a silver Skoda Octavia which failed to stop at the scene.
A 20-year-old Bournemouth woman suffered a broken ankle and severe bruising to her legs.
Christopher Jeffreys, 33 and from Poole, has now been charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident and driving without due care and attention.
He appeared at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, September 5, and is due to appear at the same court on Tuesday, December 5.
