DETECTIVES investigating a house burglary in Poole have released CCTV images of their suspect.

Officers were called to a property in Herbert Avenue at 11am on Saturday, September 2.

Two victims told police a man walked down their driveway to the back of the house, entered their conservatory and went into their kitchen before taking a wallet.

One of the victims - a man in his 70s - challenged the offender. The offender claimed he was looking for someone before shoving the victim in the chest and running off.

The burglar is described as aged in his late 20s and of medium build. He has short dark brown hair and was wearing a short-sleeved white T-shit or polo shirt with knee-length shorts.

Detective Constable Michelle Lawrence of Bournemouth CID said officers have conducted house-to-house enquiries and spoken with representatives from businesses in the area.

CCTV footage of the suspect has now been released.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have dash cam footage of a man running across or along Herbert Avenue to contact me," DC Lawrence said.

Anyone who knows who the man is, and those with information that could help with the investigation, should contact Dorset Police by visiting dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting 55170136565.
