CATS, dogs and chickens are all in need of forever homes in Dorset.

Margaret Green Animal Rescue is hoping to find loving new homes for the animals in its care.

Five-year-old feline Mia is looking for a home with her brother Ollie.

They are slowly settling in at the rescue centre but are still a bit nervous. They would love to have a very quiet home where they can settle and find their feet.

Fox is two years old. She is described by the rescue staff as a “sweet girl” once she trusts you. She enjoys a fuss – but prefers not to be stroked on her head. She would prefer to be an only pet in a quiet home.

Courtney the chicken is looking for a home with her four companions who are all ex-battery chickens. As a result, they are “a little worse for wear to look at” but they are hastily regaining feathers and looking healthier.

Navi is an eight-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier. She is a “very sweet girl” who loves cuddles and can be a little nervous in new situations. She can live with another calm, confident male dog and possibly cats and older children.

Charlie, a “striking” three-year-old greyhound used to be a racer but is now looking to be a family dog. He is a sociable dog and would be interested in living in a home with another sight-hound.

Finally, there is Lottie, an “adorable” 12-year-old Jack Russell terrier. She loves being with her human companions and is looking for a quiet home to rest her paws. She is still very active and enjoys going on long walks and chasing balls.
