IT was a dog-lovers paradise at the popular Sopley Village Festival last weekend.

Hundreds of people turned out for the event at Moorlands College, with prized pets proving to be the stars of the show.

With the dog show the main event for many, there was plenty of other attractions for families and visitors including maypole dancing, a tractor display, live music and traditional games.

There was also a slow bike race, plenty of stalls and delicious food from local groups and businesses.

Teams of young farmers and Woolpack regulars also battled it out in the Tug of War contest, followed by a New Forest beagle show.

In the evening, the fun continued at the Wolpack pub, with food and entertainment galore.

All money raised will be put towards the refurbishment of the village hall.
