A TINY teddy found discarded on the grass at a car boot sale fell on his feet when he was rescued by passers-by.

Not only was he plucked to safety from the car park but he was treated to a slice of cake to cheer him up when they got home.

Ashley, as he is now known, is being well looked after but his temporary carers can't help thinking he'd prefer to be at his real home.

Were you at Ashley Heath boot sale on Sunday July 2? Does Ashley belong to you?

His finder told the Daily Echo: "As we were leaving the field we were parked in we noticed something in the grass, sitting looking forlorn.

"We picked him up, he’d been left behind by his family, probably fell out while their littl’un was being buckled in. I’m thinking there’s a little person out there upset at losing their friend."
