A MAN was rescued from his car after a three-vehicle crash.

Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to Horton crossroad on Tuesday afternoon, shortly before 2.25pm.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with two injured men – one of whom was freed by firefighters from Cranborne and Verwood.

The man, aged in his 70s, was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Another man in his 50s was checked over by paramedics as a precaution but was uninjured.

Those involved were driving a green Land Rover Freelander, registered to a man from Hampshire, a blue Ford Focus registered to a man also from Hampshire and a grey Land Rover Freelander registered to a woman from Shropshire.

The road was reopened at 3.30pm.
