The man, aged in his 70s, was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Another man in his 50s was checked over by paramedics as a precaution but was uninjured.
Those involved were driving a green Land Rover Freelander, registered to a man from Hampshire, a blue Ford Focus registered to a man also from Hampshire and a grey Land Rover Freelander registered to a woman from Shropshire.
The road was reopened at 3.30pm.
