VISITORS to this year's Camp Bestival will be invited to 'feed their brains' in a cultural hotspot at the Dorset festival.

As well as music there are a whole host of things to enjoy at the festival, including the Literary Institute.

This area promises something for everyone including talks, shows and quizzes, to spoken word and poetry.

The Literary Institute is described as Camp Bestival’s 'oasis of inspiration' offering insight and entertainment throughout the weekend. Brimming with inviting sofas and cosy armchairs, visitors can sit back, relax and feed their minds.

Literary Institute host Jack Rooke said: “The literary line-up is a stonker again. A brilliant mix of enlightening talks, intelligent debate and a great pub quiz... and that’s just for the kids.

"Adults can expect much the same, but with the Scummy Mummies running After Hour Clubs, I think this year’s institute will be roaring with laughter."

The line-up includes talks, shows, quizzes and more hosted by Steven Lamb and Jack Rooke, A Boy Made of Blocks with Keith Stuart, The Scummy Mummies Show, Boys Don’t Cry with Bryony Kimmings, Bedtime stories with The Famous Five with readings from Five and a Half-Term Adventure, Pub Quiz for Kids With Patrick Monahan, Sound System: The Political Power of Music with Dave Randall, The Feast Collective Conversations with Elly Pear, Gill Meller, Jo Ingleby & Steven Lamb, The Great Camp Bestival Pop Stars & Rock Stars Quiz with John Harris, plus Morning Mindfulness.

The popular How To series continues this year with the low down on how to Befriend a Beetle with M.G Leonard, Be an Underwater or Sky Explorer with Andy Torbet, Do What You Love with Laura Rowe, Editor of Olive magazine, Write a Novel from a Beach Hut with Lucy Clarke, Write Your Own Myth with Maz Evans, Free your Face with Lulatastic Hippyshake and Get Kids & Dad To Hit The Healthy Stuff with Beverly Glock.

Plus there will be a celebration of the aesthetic qualities of language with poetry and spoken word at The Satin Lizard Lounge Curated by Scroobius Pip. And make sure to enjoy the tongue in cheek humour and risqué fun of the After Hours Clubs, hosted by the Scummy Mummies including The Literary Ginstitute with Hurrah for Gin & Dress Like a Mum and The Secret Mummies Wine Club with Cherry Healy & Knackered Mother’s Wine Club.

Camp Bestival is at Lulworth Castle from Thursday, July 27 to Sunday, July 30.
