Motorists trying to leave Royal Bournemouth Hospital this afternoon have reportedly faced hour long delays.
The queues are believed to be a result of works taking place on the B3073 Fairmile Road.
Travel Dorset apologised for the disruption on Twitter and said Bournemouth Water had been carrying out repairs to a manhole cover.
Sorry for the disruption, looks as though Bournemouth Water work has been completed. Castle Lane East has been looking busy most of the day.

A spokesperson for the hospital said traffic leaving the hospital was now "flowing well".
"Traffic on Castle Lane East towards Christchurch was moving slowly for a time on Thursday afternoon, which slowed traffic exiting from our site and other sites on Deansleigh Road.
"We know how frustrating this can be for our staff and patients and we are working closely with Bournemouth council to help ease any local congestion, including plans with the Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership for a new link road from the A338.”
