A WOMAN was rescued from the water in Swanage in the early hours of this morning.
The Coastguard and Swanage lifeboat were called at around 2am following reports of a concern for welfare for the unknown female.
A crew from the NPAS helicopter were also brought in to help with the rescue.

The woman was pulled from the water and suffered a possible fractured ankle.
A South Western Ambulance Service spokesman said they sent one ambulance and one rapid response vehicle. Paramedics transported the woman to Poole hospital for further treatment.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Police received a report at around 1.10am this morning, Thursday 25 May 2017, which led to a concern for welfare for a woman in the Swanage area.
"A search of the area was conducted, with assistance from the NPAS helicopter, and the woman was reported to have entered the water off the town pier.
"The Coastguard was also alerted and the woman was taken to shore.
"The ambulance service attended and the woman, aged in her 40s and from Hampshire, was taken to hospital for treatment to an injury to her ankle."
