THE Dorset Waterpark has been rated one of the best water parks in the UK by reviewers on TripAdvisor.

Staff at the park, near Corfe Castle, told the Echo they were thrilled with the accolade - and with the fact that TripAdvisor also lists them as the number one attraction at Corfe Castle.

Park owner Liz Turner said: "Of course it is amazing to see Dorset Waterpark sitting so close to the top of these lists, but more importantly it is fantastic to read each glowing review as it comes in.

"We are such a close team of staff and we all celebrate each other's successes - we are very aware that a business is only every as respected as the staff that work within it."

The park, which first opened in 2016, attracted bumper crowds during its inaugural year. It reopened for this season at the beginning of April.

Set in an 11-acre woodland site, on two lakes close to Corfe Castle, it boasts slides, a trampoline, jumps, hurdles, bridges, monkey bars and loads more.

New equipment for 2017 include the wiggle bridge, half pipe and rodeo splash.

Capacity on the lakes has also increased to 100 people per session.

Dorset Waterpark is based at Arfleet Mill Lakes, Studland Road, Corfe Castle.
