CHERRIES Chairman Jeff Mostyn will swap the boardroom for the catwalk when he appears as the lead model in a charity fashion show.

The Summer and Lifestyle Show takes place at AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium on Wednesday, May 17, with all proceeds going to Dorset Cancer Care Foundation (DCCF).

Jeff, who is a patron of DCCF said: “This will be a really fun event and one I’m very proud to be involved in as it will raise valuable funds to help families who are facing cancer across Dorset.

However, I must admit to feeling a little apprehensive.

“It’s all very well standing in front of a TV camera and talking about the sport and the club you love, but walking down a catwalk with all eyes on you is another matter entirely.

“I’m just hoping the crowd get behind me and that I don’t trip up.”

Dorset Cancer Care Foundation (DCCF) was set up in Poole in 2012 and raises funds to support people facing financial hardships because of cancer.

DCCF grants pay for everything from patients’ household bills to much needed short breaks, counselling, and transport costs to and from hospital.

Other ‘models’ joining Jeff on the catwalk will include Cherries’ commercial director Rob Mitchell.

All clothing for the event, which starts at 6.30pm, has been provided free by Fox Tailoring of Bournemouth and Fab Frocks of Westbourne.

Anne Rowland, a DCCF trustee and one of the organisers of the show, said: “AFC Bournemouth has really got behind DCCF and when they offered to host this event for us we were thrilled.

“We hope the public will now also support us by buying tickets for what promises to be a great evening.”

Tickets cost £30 and include a welcome drink, hot and cold buffet and all entertainment.
