EXPANDING restaurant chain Chicken and Blues is seeking to open a new branch in Westbourne.
The firm already has three outlets in Ashley Cross, Boscombe and Winton, but is seeking permission to make alterations to the Beau Hair and Beauty shop at 44 Seamoor Road, between Camden and Westbourne Tandoori.
According to its application, the property "can be converted to a restaurant with minimal building work required". Among the alterations requested are new signage and the installation of an extractor flue.
"These proposals are in keeping with the brand, “Chicken & Blues” (who currently have premises operating in Bournemouth, Boscombe and Poole) which have been sympathetic and have retained the character and appearance of the original façade above," the application states.
The application will be considered by council planners at a later date.
