The casualty, a 67-year-old man from Wimborne, was riding a white Kawasaki motorcycle when he was involved in a collision in Victoria Road at 2.35pm.

The 23-year-old female driver of the second vehicle, a white Renault Clio, was uninjured.
No arrests have been made and the driver of the Clio has been spoken to about the crash by police investigating the circumstances.
Speaking at the scene, Sergeant Joe Pardy of Dorset Police's Roads Policing Team said: "Officers were called to a two-vehicle collision in Victoria Road at the junction with Westwood Avenue at 2.35pm.
"A Kawasaki motorcycle travelling towards Wimborne Road East and a Renault Clio, which was travelling in the opposite direction, towards Ringwood Road, were involved.
"Despite the best efforts of paramedics and officers the motorcyclist was sadly pronounced dead at the scene."
Victoria Road has now reopened after a closure of more than five hours.
Specially-trained police officers could be seen photographing debris from the motorcycle, which had been strewn across the carriageway during the crash.
A spokesperson from the South Western Ambulance Service said paramedics had carried out CPR in a bid to save the patient.
“Sadly, he died at the scene,” she said.
Sgt Pardy urged witnesses to contact PC Andy Fields of the force's Serious Collision Investigation Team.
Anyone who saw the collision or the manner of driving prior of either vehicle prior to the crash should call police.
The man's next of kin have been informed and the coroner has been notified.
