PUPILS face long delays getting to school this morning as a result of the fog and ice.
Some services were cancelled and others suffered delays of about 30 minutes.
Blandford, Christchurch, Corfe Mullen, Ferndown, West Moors and Bournemouth and Poole were just some of the areas affected.
In Sturminster Newton route number J070a was running more than 25 minutes late due to icy conditions.
And in Wimborne and Cranborne the P079 service was late due to vehicle having a frozen door.
Damory Coaches, one of the school transport operators used by Dorset County Council, were tweeting about a number of delays to its services.
A tweet from the firm said: "Please bear with us. Many of our school buses and service buses are having difficulty using very icy roads.
"Our drivers are doing their best."
