STUDENTS from across Europe will be welcomed to a Ringwood school later this month as part of an EU-funded project.
A total of 45 pupils aged between 12 and 17 are travelling from France, Germany, Hungary and Turkey to take part in the Erasmus+ initiative Achieving Together at Ringwood Waldorf School.
Teachers and volunteers have been busy preparing workshops, outings and visits to businesses in the area to offer participants a taste of a work environment during the week.
Co-ordinator Geli Patrick said: “We’re very pleased to have so many local business owners or managers who are happy to offer a couple of hours’ insight into their work.
“The students will then write about what they have learned as a contribution to a newspaper they will all produce together during the rest of the week.”
The project takes place from January 22 to 28.
At the end of the week, a public event with food, entertainment and craft stalls will take place at the school.
Money raised will go to a charity that supports young unaccompanied refugees in Europe.
Tickets priced at £5 are available from the school office.
