PLANS have been submitted to demolish a two storey house to prevent anti-social behaviour.

Bournemouth council intends to knock down the derelict property at 5 Hyde Road, Kinson, just months after the neighbouring Don Low Centre was also demolished.

That property, a single-storey former centre for long-term unemployed ex-criminals set up with a Home Office grant in 1983, stood in the extensive grounds of the house.

A spokesman for the authority said there are no further applications for the site at this time.

"Nothing has been decided, there are no plans," she said. "It is being demolished to deter anti-social behaviour."

The plans are to be considered by officers over the coming weeks.
