FIRE crews tackled a blaze in a residential building in Swanage this evening.
Two fire engines were called to Lower Street to put out a kitchen fire, which broke out in the third floor of a building of flats.
Police shut the road while crews dealt with the fire.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Control said they got the call just after 6.30pm.
The crews used two hose reels to extinguish the fire.
The road was re-opened just before 8pm.
