A TEENAGER was kicked by a stranger as he shopped at a Verwood superstore this month.

CCTV of the suspect has been released after the incident, which took place at around 2pm on Sunday, September 11 at Morrisons in Chiltern Drive.

Officers investigating the assault said the boy, who is 14, was kicked on the back of the legs by an unknown man. The impact caused the victim’s legs to buckle slightly.

The victim turned around and was pushed in the left shoulder by the man, who then threatened to hurt him. The victim then told the man to stop and the offender turned around and walked off.

The teenager described the suspect as white, aged in his mid-40s, six feet one inch tall, with short dark hair and a mark or scar above his lip.

PC Mark Mills, of East Dorset police, said: “I would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured to please contact Dorset Police. I would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.”
