Two kayakers were rescued by the RNLI lifeboat after getting into difficulty off Old Harry Rocks.
The pair, a man and a woman, were attempting to paddle from Swanage to Studland Bay.
A member of the public who was walking on the coastal path raised the alarm around 1.30pm after the kayakers were spotted waving for help.
No-one was injured during the incident.
