BOURNEMOUTH experienced its warmest September evening on record.
Weather expert Charles Taylor recorded temperatures of 18.4C (65F) on Monday night, September 5.
The figure beat the previous maximum of 18.2C set on September 8, 1949.
Forecasters nationally had predicted the UK might experience one of its warmest ever September nights.
The run of warm nights is expected to continue tonight, with temperatures of 19C forecast for late evening until 1am on Thursday.
Thursday and Friday, with the days expected to cool slightly, night time temperatures are expected to reach 18C.
