A LIGHT aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in the north of the county earlier today.
The crash occurred at around 3.55pm at Marnhull, to the south east of the nearby airfield. There were no injuries.
Fire crews from Sturminster Newton and Gillingham were called to the scene but fortunately their services were not required.
