A MAN has been arrested after a crash at Holdenhurst Road early this morning.
Dorset Police were called to the scene outside Tesco Express in Lansdowne where a car was found to have crashed.
The blue Volkswagen Polo was found to have collided with a traffic light at the pedestrian crossing.
Officers were called at 5.39am.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “It was a single vehicle road traffic collision and a man has been detained.
“It appears the vehicle went into a lamppost and a male has been arrested for motoring offences.”
No one was believed to have been injured in the crash, and passers-by were seen to stop and speak to the driver shortly after the crash.
