THOUSANDS of revellers have flocked to watch a sports-packed day two of the Bournemouth 7s Festival.
There has been a carnival atmosphere at the Chapel Gate-based annual extravaganza with spectators enjoying rugby, dodgeball, hockey, netball as well as an array of entertainment and refreshments.
Around 400 teams are taking part in the three-day event, with spectators and competitors’ alike coming from all over the world to enjoy the festival’s ninth year.
But it is all about much more than just sport – many have been enjoying the music, various food stalls, dressing up or just soaking up the sun and having an ice cream.
And tomorrow an all-new family day has been organised, which will see AFC Bournemouth, BH Live Active and the RAF putting on a range of fun activities to attract a greater number of children and their parents.
Sunday will also play host to the rugby, netball, hockey and dodgeball finals.
