CAN you help return this Gnomeo and his Juliet to their garden home?

Owner Anne Pearce said she is desperately missing the pair, given to her by son Andrew for Mother's Day this year.

The 82-year-old, who lives in sheltered accommodation in Ferndown, noticed the ornaments were missing at around 7.30am on Saturday, March 12.

She said: "I went to bed at about midnight the day before and they were there.

"But first thing in the morning, I looked out of my window and I realised straight away that something wasn't right. Then it dawned on me that they were missing."

Anne said the gnomes, which are around two feet tall, would have been difficult to move.

"They were filled with stones to make them heavy, so I think it would have taken two men to do it," she said.

"It's just left me so upset. I can't think who would have done it.

"There are a number of people who open their curtains and look straight out into the back garden, and they said the gnomes made them smile every day.

"I feel so sad thinking about it."
