PARAMEDICS and police are on the scene of a three-vehicle crash near Wimborne.

The incident occurred at around midday at the Canford Bottom Roundabout and the A31 westbound is blocked.

A spokesman for Dorset police said: “We were called at 12.08pm to reports of a road traffic collision at the A31 approaching Merley. It appears to be damage only but the road is blocked.

“There is possibly some fuel on the road as well.”

Fire crews and paramedics are on the scene.

A black Vauxhall, registered to a woman in Berkshire, a silver Mitsubishi, also registered to a Berkshire woman, and a silver Ford Focus, registered to a woman in Weymouth, were involved in the crash.

A spokesman for the South West Ambulance Service said: “We’ve got four patients walking wounded, so minor injuries. No one was taken to hospital and everyone has been treated at the scene.”

Dorset Fire and Rescue were also called to the scene after initial reports indicated one person was trapped.

A spokeswoman said: “There were no persons trapped when we got there thankfully. Police and paramedics were called too and we just helped with making the vehicle safe.”
