A PROMISING band who died when their car plunged off a bridge in Sweden were due to play in Bournemouth on Thursday.
All four members of the band Viola Beach, aged 19 to 27, were killed along with their manager as they made their way back to the UK.
They were due to support band Blossoms at the Old Fire Station on Thursday. Band members Kris Leonard, 19, River Reeves, 19, Tomas Lowe, 27, and Jack Dakin, 24, along with manager Craig Tarry, 32, were in a Nissan Qashqai that went through the barrier of a bridge in the early hours of Saturday.
Tributes were paid to the group and Mr Tarry following the accident in Sodertalje, 18 miles from the capital Stockholm.
The family of Mr Reeves, 19, said they were "heartbroken" by his death alongside the bandmates and manager "he adored and loved".
In a statement, they said: "Viola Beach were on such an exciting journey and River could not have been happier. He would have loved to have stuck around for the party.”
Blossoms cancelled their show in Guildford on Saturday. It is not clear if the Bournemouth show will go ahead on Thursday.
