POLICE are seeking witnesses after a spate of thefts from vehicles in Bournemouth.
The incidents took place in the town centre overnight between Saturday, February 6, and Sunday, February 7.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said 27 reports had been made of vehicles having their windows smashed.
The cars were then searched and if they contained high value items those were stolen.
The roads affected were Cotlands Road, West Cliff Road, West Hill Road, St Michaels Road, Gervis Road, Pier Approach, Meyrick Road and Christchurch Road.
Chief Inspector Bob Acaster, of Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have information about those responsible or may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area overnight to contact us on 101.
“Also, I would like to reassure residents that there will be enhanced patrols in the area tonight.
“I urge all motorists to make sure no valuable items are left in an unattended vehicle and that any accessories, such as cables, are stored out of sight.”
Police believe more vehicles may have been targeted and are urging owners to contact them.
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 7:125.
