It's the third part of our annual round-up of the most read stories on the Bournemouth Echo website in 2015.

July

A "megastorm" which hit Dorset on the night of July 3, resulting in hundreds of lightning strikes a second was our best read story. Scores of you sent us pictures and video of the dramatic storm and flooding.

Second and third most read related to two very serious incidents: a man who tried to drag a nine-year-old girl into bushes and the rape of an 18-year-old woman in Bournemouth Lower Gardens.

August

A continually updated weather forecast for the Bournemouth Air Festival was the top story.

This was followed by the latest on the Shoreham air show disaster which claimed the lives of 11 people and updates from the third day of the 2015 Bournemouth Air Festival.

September

The tragic death of two-month-old baby Donald was the most read story in September.

An eight-hour stand-off with a man allegedly wielding a machete and holding hostages was the second most read, followed by pupils at Magna Academy being taken out of classes and put in isolation for 'pencil case' infringements.
