A YOUNG child has been airlifted to hospital with suspected head injuries after falling from a tree at the Bournemouth Air Festival.

Paramedics, police and the air ambulance attended the incident, near Fisherman’s Walk, Southbourne, around 4pm today.

A spokesman for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance told the Daily Echo: “The child is male and is being conveyed to Southampton General Hospital.”
