A MAN sustained serious injuries after a car crashed into a tree on the A35.
Emergency services were called to the stretch of road between Hinton and Holmsley at 7.12pm on Thursday evening after reports a Honda Civic had been involved in a single vehicle collision.
The road was closed in both directions while officers from Hampshire Constabulary investigated.
A South Central Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed the victim has sustained serious arm injuries.
She said the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was called to the scene, but was not used.
Instead the man was taken to Southampton General Hospital by land ambulance.
His injuries are not life threatening.
