A MISSING pet lurcher has been reunited with her owner, three days after she was apparently stolen from the back of a car.
Emma Davies, 21, was devastated when her beloved one-year-old saluki-cross lurcher called Nala disappeared from her Land Rover while it was parked at Haskins Garden Centre at Longham on Sunday afternoon.
Fortunately Nala was found by a woman in Totton near Southampton at lunchtime on Wednesday.
Emma, a stable hand from Wimborne, said: "I was in the New Forest looking for her when I got call to say that she had been found. The lady who was on her lunch break, took her to the nearest vet's practice. Fortunately Nala had been microchipped so they were able to identify her."
Emma added: "She has lost weight and is much quieter than normal, but I'm sure she will be fine once we get home. I was so relieved when I heard she had been found I burst into tears."
Emma rescued Nala from a shelter after her litter of puppies was abandoned at one week old and Nala has been part of Emma’s home since she was eight weeks old.
